In this acrylic portrait timelapse, I show you my process of how I painted this piece using a grayscale grisaille to build up transparent layers of paint. Grayscale underpaintings can help artists that struggle to match flesh tones with values. By focusing on your values first, then you can easily add transparent layers of color over the painting to achieve a sense of realism in your portrait paintings. #shorts
