Our journey began on the volleyball court from middle school through high school, where we spent countless hours practicing, laughing, and singing weird songs to get us through running laps. Kendall's talent was unparalleled, and her killer arm in volleyball made her a force to be reckoned with on the court. Opponents feared the thunderous sound of the ball meeting Kendall's hand, but for us, it was music to our ears.
Beyond her athletic prowess, Kendall had a gift for bringing laughter to any situation. With a quick wit and a never-ending supply of funny stories, she could turn the most mundane moments into unforgettable adventures. Whether it was a sarcastic joke or a playful prank during practice, Kendall's comedic genius kept us all in stitches.
"For me, this isn't a fight. This is life. So instead of fighting, I'm going to keep on living and enjoying every adventure!"
At the age of 30, Kendall was diagnosed with glioblastoma- a type of brain cancer.
In the face of this unimaginable journey, Kendall's family and friends rallied around her, encircling her with love, encouragement, and unwavering support.
Her family describes: We were determined to be Kendall's pillars of strength, believing that our encouragement would carry her through the challenging times ahead. What we came to understand was that it would be Kendall who would encourage and inspire us with her unwavering strength and relentlessly positive attitude.

With unwavering dedication, Kendall's amazing parents, brothers, and friends worked tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of others facing similar battles.

At the core of the foundation's mission is the commitment to provide financial aid to brain cancer patients through grants. Recognizing the significant financial and emotional distress that often accompanies a cancer diagnosis, the foundation seeks to ease some of the financial stress. These grants assist recipients with immediate expenses. The second gift to patient families is intended to help them pursue a goal or enjoy a memory-making experience.
There is no greater encouragement to a brain cancer family than the hope for a cure. The Kendall Nicole Eich Foundation devotes a portion of its giving to brain cancer research.

Facing cancer can be isolating, but the foundation ensures that no one walks this challenging path alone. At Beth Gatza Art Classes, I have committed to free art lessons for every patient, family member, and team member in the Kendall Nicole Eich Foundation. I truly believe in the power of community and the healing power of art.
